“I’m Keith Petersen. I’m General Manager at Rueter’s. I’ve been here about 14 years. Rueter’s has been in business since 1951. Cecil Rueter started the business back then and was a Massey/Ferguson dealership. We’ve grown since then. We have seven dealerships located in Iowa and Nebraska. The Rueter’s company is a family-owned business and one of the things that’s exciting to me is I have two of my sons that came to Rueter’s not too long after I did.
They’ve been here 13- 14 years now. Really truly one of their main things they sell is the Hyundai product. Like their dad, they live and breathe Hyundai. One of our biggest things we sell in the Hyundai product is the wheel loaders. We do a lot of high lift stuff, and as a matter of fact, mainly everything we order in is high lifts, and the HL940, HL950 sizes are the main sizes we sell. We go sell to a lot of feedlots. We’re doing feeding, loading manure, cleaning feedlots, and just, you know…loading the feed in the feed wagons…just general all-round feedlot usage.
Rueter’s became a Hyundai dealership about about 14 years ago when I came here. Hyundai has been a great addition for Rueter’s Equipment. It isn’t very often we have a problem but when we do have a problem, Hyundai is very quick to help us take care of that problem and take care of the customers. When I started with Rueter’s years ago, Cecil and Todd sat me down and and said to me, “at the end of the day if you can look at the mirror at night and say and know that you did the right thing by the company, and the right thing by the customer, we will never have a problem.”
