Business owner and vlogger, Mike Simon, recently received one of our very first HX210A L excavators to put to the test on his YouTube channel, Dirt Perfect. “Dirt Perfect may be in trouble. I’m slowly, slowly falling in love with this thing,” says Mike about the HX210A L.
The HX210A L is delivered to Dirt Perfect to try out for 90 days. Mike completes a walkaround and briefly touches on its benefits. He highlights the accessibility to service the machine, visibility and user-friendly display monitor.
Dirt Perfect introduces the Hyundai and Werk-Brau teams, and both teams work together to install the Werk-Brau thumb and adjust the machine settings for compatibility. Mike Simon welds the thumb onto the HX210A L, allowing him to pick up a 10ft tree trunk with ease.
The Hyundai team installs the 2D MG system to the HX210A L and explains how this system works. The Hyundai team installs the sensors and calibrate the machine. It is moved out to Mike’s front yard for test runs, where he demonstrates how the 2D MG works and tests it for accuracy.
Dirt Perfect rolls out the HX210A L for its first job. The speed and accuracy of the 2DMG allow him to complete a four hour project in just 15 minutes.
Mike Simon tests the fuel and time efficiency of the HX210A L and compares it with other Hyundai machines. He praises the machine for its adjustability, and finds the system user-friendly, beneficial, and affordable.
Mike uses the HX210A L to clear trees on 156 acres of land, while testing the cost-effectiveness of the machine.

After operating the HX210A L on a few different jobs, here are a few of Mike comments on what he really likes about the machine:
1) Sound: “It is insane how quiet it is.”
2) Display: “One thing I love about these machines is the display. It is so simple, so easy to work on.”
3) Visibility: “Visibility on these machines is superb. I’ve been in a lot of these, and from the seat now looking through the cameras, I have not been in another machine that has better visibility from the seat.”
4) Multi-functionality: “When you multi-function the machine, as far as trying to use the move while you’re tracking and swinging, a lot of machines are really slowed down or almost come to a stop, but if you see on this thing, that is pretty impressive. We are moving on pretty good, still swinging around, doing what we need to do. I would comfortably say that’s better than any of the other machines I’ve got.”
