With housing inventory shortages running rampant in 2018, land development productivity is important. That’s why Keith Newton, owner of Newton Development, isn’t wasting any time. Keith keeps his operators on the go and comfy in new Hyundai construction equipment he purchased with the Edge Lease.

“I want to take care of my operators because they take care of the business for Newton Development. I want to look after them from the safety and comfort standpoint so they can stay in the equipment and work longer days, longer hours… and be more efficient and productive for all of us. I want them to enjoy what they do more, and with Hyundai’s warranty I won’t have to worry about any equipment failures. With Hyundai’s air conditioning climate control and heated air-ride seats…they thoroughly enjoy using the equipment,” says Keith.

Keith is a valued customer of Luke Peavy, Hyundai Equipment dealer salesman, at Crosby Equipment in Macon, GA. Recently Luke took the Hyundai team on a job site to interview Keith on what he likes about running Hyundai construction equipment.

Newton Development has been in the residential subdivision development business in middle Georgia since 1999. They purchased a Hyundai R300LC-9A excavator in a lease 2 1/2 years ago, and a HL960 Hyundai wheel loader two years ago that they use on all of their job sites.

“In doing grading and excavating site work,  it is extremely important for the equipment to be operating efficiently and to be productive. For example, take a pipeline crew… you may have four or five people on the crew. If the loader or excavator goes down, that means the whole job shuts down,” says Keith.

“Our operators like the Hyundai excavator and loader. Because they’re basically brand new, we don’t have to worry about service or maintenance… it’s all taken care of,” says Keith.

“Both of the pieces of equipment we bought from Hyundai have a 3-year/ 3000-hour warranty. That is one of the main reasons I chose Hyundai…. because their Flex Lease program is very affordable, and I knew for 3-years/3,000-hours I didn’t have to worry about any equipment failures,” says Keith.

A pecan orchard farmer that does a lot of tree and branch removal recently asked Keith what he liked about Hyundai construction equipment. Keith recommended Hyundai because Crosby Equipment is local, has several locations in Georgia and Florida to pull from, and he enjoys his relationship with his salesman, Luke Peavy.
