Primary Duties:
The HR Representative is responsible for assisting with different Human Resources tasks and HR-related duties on a professional level. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: payroll, benefits administration, onboarding, terminations, and recruitment/employment.
Responsibilities:
- Creating employee engagement plans, getting necessary budget approval, and initiating activities
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Develop, promote, and enforce employee engagement through activities.
- Manage benefits administration to include but not limited to billing reconciliation, employee database audits and compliance with required notices.
- Maintaining digital files for employees and their documents, benefits, and attendance records
- Recruiting and Onboarding Creating a recruitment plan and calendar according to operation and sales projections Creating onboarding plans and educating newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations.
- Assist with planning benefit activities for all employees.
- Collaborating with outside vendors, upper management to maintain the Warehouse fully staffed.
- Serve as a primary contact for work-site injuries or incidents.
- Evaluating employee performance and appraising their pay scale accordingly
- Taking appropriate disciplinary action against employees who violate rules and regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- Advanced skill level in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
- Proactive in handling confidential business matters and information with discretion
- Must possess strong organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prepare reports of data, analyze the data and present findings.
- Knowledge of SAP a plus
Other duties:
Assists with other duties and functions appropriate to the position as assigned by the manager from time to time.
Work environment and other requirements:
The work environment is a non-smoking office environment. No heavy lifting required. Mostly sitting with computer and phone usage. Accommodation can be made for handicapped employees. Travel only on an “as needed” basis.
