CUMMINS PERFORMANCE SERIES ENGINE

Combined with the engineering and product design expertise of Hyundai, the Stage 5 Cummins Performance Series engines in the new A-Series machines will deliver substantial performance gains from a smaller, lighter power package. While Stage 5 guidelines do not apply in the USA, the Cummins Performance Series engines featured in A-Series also satisfy Tier 4 Final emissions control requirements. The Stage 5-compliant Cummins Performance Series engines integrate the newest after treatment system – the Single Module™ – with leading combustion and air-handling technology to be Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR)-free for simpler, reduced installation costs.

The A-Series HX excavators introduce variable power control with three power modes to ensure the highest performance in any operating environment. P (power mode) maximizes speed and power for heavy work. S (standard mode) optimizes performance and fuel efficiency for general work. E (economy mode) improves control and efficiency for light work.

Attachment Flow Control

The A-Series HX excavators improves pump flow rate by giving the operator independent control of two pumps. It optimizes flow rate settings according to the attachment type (10 breaker types and 10 crusher types), which is ideal for various applications.

Haptic control is a common technology found on luxury automobiles that makes selecting menus and adjusting settings easy. The haptic remote control uses vibrations and pulses to guide the operator through menu selections, enabling control of the accelerator, air conditioner, and all functions within the cluster for maximum convenience.

Easy Access to DEF System

The DEF/AdBlue® tank is installed next to the tool box. Its inlet is remotely located for easy access and convenient supply. A red lamp signal warns of overfill. The DEF/AdBlue® supply module is attached on the side of the fuel tank for easy maintenance and filter replacement.

AAVM (All Around View Monitoring)

The Hyundai-exclusive AAVM video camera system provides the operator a 360-degree field of view on the monitor, which greatly contributes to work site safety. Part of this system includes IMOD (Intelligent Moving Object Detection), which alerts the operator to the presence of people or objects within a 5 meter (16 ft) range of operation.

Large upper grab rails coupled with left and right side guard rails facilitate access to the upper while reducing potential falls.

Anti-slip surface

Hyundai's proprietary, patented anti-slip surface uniquely designed to prevent accidental slips and falls that can result in injury when working or inspecting the upper structure of the machine. The rubber tread surface is less abrasive on knees when kneeling and performing inspections.

An auto-travel alarm will sound as soon as travel is engaged forward or reverse. This standard safety feature greatly increases job site safety by alerting workers around the machine. This alarm may be deselected by a convenient switch.
